Hi, I’m rebecca MARY

I support women to embrace their inner spiritual wisdom and ancient birthing power through story medicine, deep witnessing, and ceremony.

I offer ceremony facilitation, in-person birth support, a thriving mythopoetic newsletter, and handcrafted herbal infusions for all seasons of womanhood.

With a deep passion for honouring and preserving sacred Rites of Passage, I commit to creating a world where we embrace the birthing power passed down through our lineages since the dawn of humanity, and the wellspring of inner wisdom available to each of us, at all times.

Through my work I contribute to creating a world where the mother-baby is honoured and revered; where women and mothers are celebrated, supported, and deeply witnessed within their communities. I live and work on Whadjuk Noongar land — Fremantle and surrounds.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

I am a mother of two beautiful children, poet and essayist, and traditional birth attendant. I’ve explored a plethora of creative fields in my lifetime including photography, oil painting, filmmaking, acting, bookselling, herbalism and the healing arts.

I am a woman of Croatian heritage, my people hailing from islands in the Adriatic Sea. As such, I have a deep affinity with the ocean and the waters. Being a blazing Sagittarius and wisdom seeker, I find solace and inspiration in wisdom traditions, mystery teachings, archetypal psychology, and mythology. I write on these topics in my newsletter Ancient Mother, and weave them through my offerings; bringing the mystery of inner traditions and creative expression to your birthing season and healing journey.

I found my vocation in birth work through my own journey into Motherhood. Drawing from my experiences of miscarriage, hyperemesis gravidarum, birth trauma, wild pregnancy, and freebirth, I offer deep and empathetic care in guiding women to a place of empowerment and connection with their ancient birthing wisdom. I believe it’s everybody’s birthright to experience ceremonial birth; a gentle transition from womb to world that has an enduring effect on the wellbeing of the mother-baby dyad and family ecosystem; and ripples out into the wider community and earth.
